I have a degree in physics (86), but play with data for work.
When my college upgraded their mainframe, used by ALL of the students and faculty, from 32 to 64 MEGABYTES, it was amazing.
Printing BLACK and WHITE images on the GIANT xerox laser printer was new.
My phone has 2000 times the memory.
My color laser printer fits on a small-ish, shelf.
I just copied 600 million records of data to my work server to generate a summary report that will fit in an Excel spreadsheet.
Many? Most of the children born today, will work at jobs that no one has thought of yet.
And they wont be cab/Uber/lyft/bus/truck drivers, because those jobs will do the way of whalers and farmers.
