3) ex-military - so the leaders have an inkling of a clue

4) "believable" outbreak/spread story ...

5) "I was at the last concert in Central Park" ... think about that for a second or 5

6) when you get to the scene ... where they hand you the tissues, before walking in to see the video ... well, better have tissue in real life

People get hung up on "zombies". THis is one of the best.

when they final rescue a line officer ... who refuses to believe that Faith is Marine E-4, in charge of TRAINING new recruits, and refreshing survived enlisted .... that cant believe that FAITH could be that good at "her" age. mhmm

and then someone explains the NEW REALITY

and does a quick count of how many rounds fired and muscle memory and institutional memory and ... then ... sees her in action .... DAMMIT time to reread this ....
