um,but, um .... did you have a point?
a) you are correct, the source of the co2 and methane don't matter. their effect on the climate is the same, regardless of the source.
b) no question that urbanization (cement and cars) has greatly changed the climate of cities
c) 2nd law of thermo - AC equals more entropy in the system
d) no question that HOW and WHERE temperatures have been collected over the decades is an issue. (one person went so far as to recreate the OLD PAINT used to paint the weather stations, to get a better idea how the PAINT itself would change readings)
e) dont get me started on the location of the stations ... the "official" station in Chicago moved from downtown (NEAR the lake), to midway (sw) to ohare (nw) .... the data must be adjusted to deal with these changes (standard practice for pretty much every science ......)
f) 2 or 1 degree??? lol the global temp has already increased by 1 ... over the last 100 plus years .... accuracy?? meh, it is impossible to predict the exact number, over any period of time. the models predict. some models are better than others ... meh
g) NONE of this matters. It is way to late to prevent GCC. It is a done deal. It has accelerated beyond the moderate predictions. meh. Like everything else, these changes will hurt poor people. We (US, the world, everyone) will wait until bad things happen, reacting to the problems.
h) WHILE there might be questions in any one of the datasets ... the corpus is huge and clear.
1) the ocean has expanded/risen (more water from the melted ice and warmer water has a larger volume)
2) ocean is much more acidic
3) there are a million proxies that can be used in addition to temperature: plant and animal populations that vary with the climate .. etc etc etc
4) co2 is much higher
5) permafrost is melting, not refreeezing, and releasing huge amounts of methane etc etc

The Deniers was an interesting book in the early days of this debate. Interesting collection of articles from those collecting the data.

The Two Mile TimeMachine is even a better book, using the past to predict the future. THE Ice Cores show massive changes in the climate, in reaction to co2 changes.
The "interesting" part of those changes was the time scale: decades.

I guess that we will live long enough to see this take place.

b) NONE of that time can be spent fund raising. NONE OF IT

c) their retirement is socsec and medicare. PERIOD.

d) public tax returns for 10 previous, during, and 10 years after ... for them, their spouses, children, and parents ... and they have to explain every penny (esp their investments ... mhmm)

People questioned her Memory.

Let's play a game.

I can remember the first girl I kissed (MM). It was in the park near the house, night, on the swings, she kissed me cause I was talking (shocking!).

The date? LOL fall? The year? HS so 78?79?

The first woman that I slept with (MD). It was my house? her house? afternoon. 80? 81? date? no clue.

The second woman (PT). Same thing, 81, 82? date?? LOL seriously??? who knows.

I could probably ... with some effort .... name every woman that I kissed and slept with. Probably get them MOSTLY in the right order. Dates and times? nope.

I have been engaged TWICE ... I can not tell you the date or time (evening). Year ... I could ... guess the year?? I wont tell you the restaurants sigh ... neither were what ... I would do today ... if I planned ... LOLOL

IF we cant remember normal IMPORTANT DATES ... why do we think that a rape victim, a YOUNG rape victim, would?

We can't find our car keys, why do we think that SHE would have a photographic memory, with perfect details??

in the LONG LIST of teaching and training our sons and daughters (and selves) ....

a) go to the hospital and get a rape kit done

(if nothing else, they will collect evidence)

b) if nothing else, write the details down

c) strangely enough, these ACTIONS HELP TREAT the PTSD.

d) have someone, anyone, who you can tell, anything to, with zero judgement.

(no really, your child HEARD YOU shame her!!! do you think that they will tell you? and risk being shamed and blamed? even something as minor as a grope in school?)

The few times that I have been there, when someone shared early, I believed. nothing more, nothing less.

THIS is why identifying the rapist, when it is a STRANGER is SO HARD.

We are terrible at remembering things.

Proof: describe the stranger that sat next to you. (bus, lunch counter, bus stop)

Describe what you wore, 10 years ago, last monday. You can not.

SHE KNEW that she had a shirt on and a bathing suit.

SHE KNEW the men that were in the room.

They werent strangers. what they were wearing?? doesnt matter

the exact date? doesnt matter. The YEAR ... she COULD narrow it down ... she did ... it was A or B .... the house? puhlease .....

Can you give the address of every house that you have been to?
