one event? COULD be an exception
all the time? it's who they are

AND we put things into context ...
IF Maher was calling someone a N- , we are done, he is being racist and we dont even need to debate it.

IN this specific case, he was either being thoughtless or doing it to get a rise out of people.
IF he repeats the first case, he is a thoughtless asshole and we move on.
IF we "know" that he was doing it for effect, he is a thoughtless asshole and we move on.

BUT - people watching his show and getting upset?
PLEASE - he is quite clear that he is politically incorrect and attacks pretty much everyone.
(best example is his position on islam and its need for a reformation. but he is also an atheist and has problems with all religions ...)


You know ,,, when we read about .... Dylann Roof (charlotte church shooting) and Jeremy Joseph Christian (portland train murderer), wee KNOW exactly what will be found on their facebook pages. the worst of the worst.
